Cardinal Operating Company recently purchased and donated items to the Youth Services Systems (YSS) Winter Freeze Shelter in Wheeling, WV. Pictured above from (L) to (R) are Cardinal Plant Employees, Ken Vannoy, Bethany Schunn, Melissa Sadlowski, and YSS Executive Director John Moses.

Since 2009, a Winter Freeze Shelter has operated 7 days a week from December to March for homeless individuals who aren’t able to be admitted to traditional shelters. For the second year in a row, YSS is partnering with the City of Wheeling to operate the shelter out of the former Hillcrest space at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. Cardinal is proud to support the important work of YSS.
