In August, Cardinal Operating Company supported several local causes, including: 

• The Brilliant Fire Department, by providing a $1,000 donation to assist with the purchase of a High Rise Kit- AERT.
• The Harrison County Junior Fair Auction, where Brad Bryant, Cardinal Plant Equipment Operator, represented Cardinal by purchasing goats shown by Aubrey Bryant and Lauren Doane. 
• Marshall County Livestock Sale at the Marshall County Fair. Amanda White-Toland represented Cardinal Plant during the auction, where Cardinal's donation added an additional $4.00 per pound to a pig that belonged to a girl whose mother had recently passed away and had been heavily involved with the fair prior to her passing. With Cardinal's donation and the contributions of other bidders, individuals, and companies, the family received a total of $19,035.
• The United Way of Jefferson County United Sole Event at the Urban Mission’s Back to School Bash in Steubenville. Cardinal donated $3,000 towards the purchase of new shoes and socks for children in Jefferson County.
• The Weirton Board of Park and Recreation's Marland Heights 5-K Classic Community Race and Fitness walk. Cardinal Operating Company was one of the Main sponsors of the 5K race.
